THE CLAN HEAD OF OKADAMERI CLAN CALLS FOR UNITY IN APIRE PARISH, ADUKU KWANIA AFTER ELECTION VIOLENT.

The clan head of Okadameri has called upon his clan members who are spread across Apire Parish in Aduku Sub-county to stop all the wrangles that a few days ago led to arrests and taking 7 other to court over the leadership struggle for position of the LC2 Chairperson of Apire Parish.

Maj. Fred Gawera, the Awitong (Clan Head) of Okadamere in the Lango Cultural Foundation fiction, made the call recently during the burial of the late Maxwell Omoo son of Okadameri and a former PWD Rep. councillor III for Aduku Sub-county that took place at Apire A - Aduku Sub-county.

Maj. Gawera said Apire Parish has a bad record in terms of wrangles, high criminality rate and its name is on top in terms of wrangles in Kwania District and in the whole of Lango in matters of wrangles that require many meetings with parents, elders and religious leaders to find a solution that can calm down the level of criminals that is too high among them at this time.

James Ongu Tar, MP Kwania North, in the same meeting said what happened a few days ago in Apire was too much indiscipline within the community of UPC and NRM which caused them to go against the law and now on the issue of keeping peace, they will sit down to ensure that peace returns for the well-being of all residents.

Lillian Doii, Lay Reader at Te-Opok Church of Uganda, Apire Parish, St. Peter's Cathedral Deanery, Diocese of West Lango , in her sermon during the burial for the late Maxwell Omoo, said the disunity that came during the election of the LC2 Chairperson of Apire has left a lot of divisions in the church at this time, which is very shameful and call for the stakeholders to come together to bring re-union.

George Kakoma Akaca, LC5 Chairperson of Kwania District, and Jacob Edule, Deputy speaker Kwania district council and Councillor LCV for Aduku Sub-county, said residents should stop internal disunity and instead focus on government development programs being brought to them, and should engage in productive work like farming and other income-generating activities.
