Apac RDC Cautions PDM Leaders Against Corruption

The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Apac District, Andrew Onyuk, has cautioned Parish Development Model (PDM) leaders against engaging in acts of corruption as the district enters the new financial year 2026/2027.

RDC Onyuk issued the warning yesterday during a high-level PDM stakeholders’ orientation meeting held at the Community Hall in Apac.

The meeting brought together officials from the Office of the RDC, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Production Department and newly elected PDM leaders from across the district.

The Apac District Speaker, Oscar Ogwang Odul, who is also the LC5 Councillor for Apac Sub-County, together with Female Councillor Joyce Akullu Adoko of Apoii Sub-County and the Secretary for Production, urged the new PDM leaders to promote transparency and accountability in the implementation of the programme.

Ebony James Oyuru, the Apac District Commercial Officer and PDM Focal Point Person, urged PDM SACCO leaders to ensure that funds received under the programme are properly managed and used for their intended purposes.

Oyuru warned that leaders who misuse PDM funds or divert programme resources will be held accountable and that those who fail to perform their responsibilities or misappropriate funds risk being required to refund the money, in accordance with the law.
