Wilson returns as Wales call up uncapped Duncan

What the report says
Wales have recalled Harry Wilson for their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Norway and Portugal, while 20-year-old goalkeeper Joe Duncan has been named in the senior squad for the first time. The announcement also brings back Leeds United defender Joe Rodon and Cardiff City midfielder Rubin Colwill, as Craig Bellamy’s team prepares for two decisive fixtures in mid-November.
Wilson, a key Wales attacker in recent years, has been absent since March because of injury. Rodon is also returning after a hamstring problem kept him out since August. Jordan James misses out after picking up an injury in club action for Wolves against Cardiff City last weekend.
Duncan, who is on loan at Southend United from Bristol City, has previously played for Wales Under-21s and now steps up as the replacement for Everton goalkeeper Tom King. Born in Bristol, he qualifies for Wales through his maternal grandfather from Cardiff. The squad also includes familiar names such as Ethan Ampadu, Brennan Johnson, Ben Davies and Dan James.
Wales are currently third in Group A4 and still have a chance of finishing anywhere from second to fourth. Their away match against Norway in Oslo is on Saturday, 14 November, followed by Portugal at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, 17 November. Their final position will determine whether they reach the Nations League quarter-finals, face a relegation play-off or drop directly out of League A.
