Node Group named second PR Powerhouse as PRAU marks 50 years

What the report says
Kampala-based communications agency Node Group has been named the second PR Powerhouse at the 10th Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) Excellence Awards, according to The Independent Uganda. The recognition adds to the agency’s earlier title of PR Agency of the Year in 2025 and comes as Node Group marks 10 years of operations in Uganda.
The award was presented during PRAU’s 50th anniversary year, which the publisher said reflects five decades of the public relations profession in Uganda. Node Group said the latest honour highlights its work across client campaigns and communication projects and signals continued growth in the sector. The agency also said it plans to pursue more ambitious assignments as it enters its second decade.
The article noted that one of the campaigns linked to Node Group was Beera ku Guard, an initiative by the National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U), which was listed among the top entries in the Viral Gold Award category. Node Group said the recognition for that campaign belonged to NITA-U and the campaign idea, while its role was to support strategy and execution.
Ian Rumanyika, the company’s chief executive officer, said the award supports the agency’s approach to client work. In broader context, the story comes amid a competitive public relations market in which agencies are seeking to build trust and maintain relationships with audiences.
