Kane plays down returning to Premier League in future

What the report says
Harry Kane has said he feels less inclined to return to England from Bayern Munich in order to chase the Premier League’s all-time scoring record. Speaking after receiving the Bundesliga Golden Shoe, the England captain said the desire he once had to go back to the Premier League has faded, while stressing that he is happy and settled in Munich.
BBC Sport reported that Kane left Tottenham for Bayern in 2023 after scoring 213 Premier League goals, leaving him 47 behind Alan Shearer’s record of 260. He is in the final year of the four-season deal he signed on joining Bayern, and the club is expected to open talks over a new contract. Kane said he is concentrating on Bayern for now, though he stopped short of ruling out a future move.
The striker also reflected on his form under Bayern coach Vincent Kompany. Kane said the Belgian has taken his game to another level, and he described last season as the best of his career. Bayern won the league and cup double, with Kane scoring 61 goals in 51 appearances, while his overall output since moving to Germany has helped place him among the leading players in European football. The comments come as Bayern continue to build around a squad and family life that Kane says is working well for him.
