AC Milan make Nwaneri contact - Saturday's gossip

What the report says
AC Milan have contacted Arsenal about a possible deal for Ethan Nwaneri, according to BBC Sport Football’s latest transfer gossip roundup. The report says the 19-year-old English winger is one of several players attracting interest in Europe, with the item framed as part of a broader set of summer moves being explored by clubs in Italy, Spain and England.
The same roundup says Inter Milan have increased their interest in Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, with the Italian club said to be prepared to pay £30m while Liverpool value the 25-year-old at £35m. It also says Inter’s efforts to sign Tottenham defender Cristian Romero have run into difficulty over personal terms, and that his representatives are now considering options in Spain, where Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are all listed as possible destinations.
BBC Sport also notes that Real Madrid are reportedly unwilling to raise their latest contract offer to Vinicius Jr and could be open to selling the Brazil forward if he does not accept new terms. Elsewhere in the roundup, Newcastle United are said to be close to signing Braga goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek, while Middlesbrough, West Ham, Hull City and Wolves are each linked with separate transfer pursuits. The items reflect the continuing build-up to the new season, when clubs are still trying to complete deals and strengthen key positions.
