Zelenskyy says Ukraine has sent proposals to US to end war with Russia

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv has delivered new proposals to the United States aimed at ending the war with Russia, which has lasted more than four years. In remarks carried by Al Jazeera, he said Washington could help by strengthening Ukraine’s air defences and increasing pressure on Moscow so it moves toward ending the fighting rather than extending it. He did not disclose the contents of the proposals.

The report said the announcement came as there were indications that US negotiators may soon travel to Ukraine and Russia.
