The passing-out ceremony brought together personnel from the UPDF, Uganda Police Force and other agencies, including the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control, Uganda Wildlife Authority and Uganda Revenue Authority.
At the event, senior military officials praised the trainees for completing the intensive courses and urged them to use the new skills in their work. Maj. Gen. Don Nabaasa, the Joint Staff Policy and Strategy officer, said the training was meant to build professional competence and confidence in handling duties that require sound judgment. Brig. Gen. Nicholas Humble Nyesiga, speaking for the Chief of Defence Intelligence and Security, also congratulated the graduates and thanked the SODIS leadership for conducting the programme.
The article says the training was presented as part of broader efforts to strengthen the UPDF and improve coordination across security institutions. Col. Michael Katongole Sempijja of TRADOC linked the course to guidance emphasizing training, discipline, patriotism and modern warfare. SODIS Commandant Col. Ezra Kokundakwe said the programme met its goals and noted support from agencies that provided experts and hosted study tours.
