What the report says

Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has introduced a festive gifting catalogue aimed at customers looking for premium drinks to share during the holiday season. According to The Independent Uganda, the catalogue, titled “Gift the Cheer of the Season,” was launched on October 27 at House of Walker in Wandegeya, Kampala, and is available through authorised distributors and delivery partners.

The selection includes several of UBL’s premium and reserve brands, among them Johnnie Walker, The Singleton, Baileys, Don Julio and Tanqueray, as well as vodka and beer. The company said customers can access options such as gift packaging, bottle engraving, special pricing and free delivery, with orders also possible through a hotline. UBL says the aim is to make gift selection simpler and more convenient during the festive period.

The launch was part of UBL’s broader 80th anniversary activities in Uganda, which the company is marking through an “80 Days of Customer Appreciation” campaign. As part of that effort, UBL recognised long-time distributor partner Christopher Kafure of CK Distributors. The event also included tasting and cocktail demonstrations, highlighting how the products could be presented as gifts or used for home entertaining.

The development matters because it shows how UBL is combining seasonal marketing with customer appreciation as it celebrates eight decades of business in Uganda. It also reflects the growing use of curated gift offerings in the alcohol retail space, though the specific products, pricing and services described here are those reported by The Independent Uganda.
