Trump Media pitched $100,000 monthly fee for fastest feed of U.S. president's posts, sources say - CNBC

What the report says
CNBC reported that Trump Media & Technology Group has discussed charging Wall Street traders and investment firms up to $100,000 per month for faster access to President Donald Trump’s posts on Truth Social, citing people familiar with confidential talks. The company also recently offered a lower price of $60,000 per month for firms willing to commit to a three-year plan, according to the report.
The discussions follow TMTG’s Thursday announcement of “Truth API,” a licensed data feed aimed at banks and trading firms. CNBC said the product is designed to deliver the quickest access to posts from 10 influential Truth Social accounts and includes round-the-clock monitoring plus an archive going back to 2022. TMTG said customers have signed up before an August 1 launch, but did not identify them or disclose pricing.
The issue matters because Trump’s posts can affect financial markets. CNBC cited an April 9, 2025 Truth Social post about pausing many new tariffs for 90 days, after which major U.S. stock indexes rose sharply. For high-frequency trading firms, even a millisecond-level advantage can be valuable, sources told CNBC.
The plan drew criticism from Democrats and ethics advocates. Senator Ron Wyden said it could benefit the Trump family while helping traders, and Senator Elizabeth Warren called it a scheme to profit from the presidency. CNBC reported that the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust holds about 41% of TMTG shares and that Trump’s children oversee the trust. The White House referred questions to TMTG, which CNBC said did not immediately comment.
