What the report says

Gear Patrol reports that Timex and Todd Snyder are releasing a new version of the Marlin, called the Timex x Todd Snyder Marlin Mesh, priced at $199. The watch is scheduled to be available July 28 through both Timex and Todd Snyder. According to the publication, the model revisits the original 34mm Marlin reissue that Todd Snyder helped popularize in 2017, while adding a new dial treatment and bringing back a stainless steel Milanese-style mesh bracelet.

The Marlin Mesh uses a polished steel 34mm round case with a domed acrylic crystal and a pry-off steel caseback engraved for the collaboration, Gear Patrol reported. Unlike the earlier hand-wound Marlin reissue, this version is powered by a quartz movement. The article notes that the change helps keep the watch affordable and may make it more dependable for everyday use. Timex lists 30 meters of water resistance.

Design details include the original-style handset, a railroad minute track, applied metallic hour markers with Roman numerals at the four cardinal positions, and Todd Snyder’s “TS” mark above 6 o’clock. The watch will be offered in sunburst steel, sky blue and pink dials. Its steel mesh bracelet includes quick-release flat end links and a sliding clasp.

The release matters within the affordable watch market because the Timex-Todd Snyder partnership has been closely tied to the modern revival of the Marlin line. Gear Patrol frames the new model as another example of the collaboration’s continued focus on accessible dress watches with vintage-inspired styling.
