What the report says

BaltimoreRavens.com reported that the Ravens placed six players on the active physically unable to perform list before the team’s first training camp practice, scheduled for Wednesday. The group includes defensive linemen Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones and John Jenkins, inside linebacker Teddye Buchanan, outside linebacker Adisa Isaac and cornerback Bilhal Kone. Because the designations are on the active PUP list, the players may be cleared to return at any time during camp.

The most notable update involves Madubuike, a two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle who has not played since Week 2 of last season after a neck injury that required surgery. Citing The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec, BaltimoreRavens.com said Madubuike has reportedly been cleared by independent spine and cervical doctors and may return to practice as soon as next week. The report said the PUP designation is being used while he works back into football activity and the team assesses his conditioning.

The other PUP placements affect several players with significant roles or roster implications. Jones played 16 games last season and led Baltimore defensive linemen with 47 tackles before receiving a three-year extension. Jenkins, 37, also signed a one-year extension after playing every game in 2025 and logging heavy defensive snaps. Buchanan started early in his rookie season before a December knee injury ended his year, while Isaac is entering a pivotal period after appearing in only four games across two injury-affected seasons.

Kone, a 2025 sixth-round pick, missed his rookie season after tearing his MCL and ACL in a preseason game against Indianapolis. The list underscores how health and conditioning will shape Baltimore’s defensive depth early in camp, while Madubuike’s reported clearance is an important development for the Ravens’ interior defensive front.
