Parkinson's double frustration as Wrexham denied

What the report says
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said his side were left frustrated after a late Cardiff City equaliser denied them victory in the Welsh derby at Cardiff City Stadium. According to BBC Sport Football, Wrexham had led from the third minute through Kieffer Moore and looked set for a winning start to their Championship campaign.
The BBC reported that Wrexham created the clearer chances, including efforts that struck the woodwork, but were unable to add a second goal. Cardiff stayed in the game and levelled in the 98th minute when Rubin Colwill converted a free-kick at the end of added time.
Parkinson said his team had not been ruthless enough in front of goal and felt the game should have been settled earlier. He also questioned the amount of stoppage time that was played, although he acknowledged that conceding a cheap free-kick in a late moment left Wrexham vulnerable.
The result matters because it denied Wrexham a derby win and a first league victory of the new season. For Cardiff, it provided a late point after being second best for much of the match, while Wrexham were left to reflect on missed chances and an equaliser that came after the fourth official indicated six minutes of added time.
