Nintendo Everything reported that Nintendo posted its network maintenance plans for the week of July 26, 2026, with downtime affecting multiple Switch and Switch 2 titles beginning that evening in North America and early July 27 in Europe. The site said the schedule includes a newly added maintenance window alongside a previously announced Nintendo Switch Online service session set for August.

According to the report, online play for selected Switch 2 and Switch software is scheduled to be unavailable from 5:30 p.m. PT on July 26 to 1 a.m. PT on July 27. That corresponds to 8:30 p.m. ET to 4 a.m. ET, 1:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the UK, and 2:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Europe on July 27. Nintendo Everything said Nintendo indicated that network services would be unavailable during the affected period.

The games listed as impacted include Kirby and the Forgotten Land, including its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition; Nintendo Switch Sports; F-Zero 99; Mario Kart 8 Deluxe; Super Smash Bros. Ultimate; Animal Crossing: New Horizons, including its Switch 2 Edition; and Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. The notice also refers more broadly to network services for some software, meaning players may encounter interruptions beyond the named online modes.

A separate Nintendo Switch Online maintenance period remains scheduled for Switch 2 and Switch from 10 p.m. PT on August 17 to midnight PT on August 18, or 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. ET on August 18. Such notices matter for players planning multiplayer sessions, cloud-linked features, or other online activity, because service access can be restricted until maintenance ends.
