Little renews commitment to Uganda as mobility demand grows

What the report says
Kampala-based coverage from The Independent Uganda says technology-enabled mobility platform Little has renewed its commitment to the Ugandan market as demand for urban transport and digital services rises. The company says it intends to expand access to convenient, reliable and affordable mobility options for riders, businesses and driver-partners.
According to the article, Little operates as a broader digital ecosystem rather than only a ride-hailing service. It links customers to transport and other everyday services, and the company says its model is meant to support both passengers and people who earn through the platform. Little also said convenience, reliability and safety remain central as it seeks to strengthen its presence in Uganda.
Country Manager Casper Njoga said the company wants to give users confidence that transport will be available when needed and said Little is committed to building a mobility experience that serves both riders and drivers. The company said it offers low commission rates and instant access to earnings for driver-partners, which it argues can improve flexibility and income opportunities.
The report included comments from a driver-partner and a rider in Kampala who described the service as helpful for earning and daily travel. Little said it plans to keep investing in platform access, service quality and partnerships. The story matters because it reflects how ride-hailing and digital mobility firms are positioning themselves in Uganda’s growing urban transport market, a trend also seen in other African cities.
