Kitara FC Plans Ticket Discounts Ahead of CAF Clash Against Mogadishu City

Kitara FC is preparing to lower ordinary ticket prices for its CAF Confederation Cup second-leg match against Mogadishu City, according to Nile Post. Club chief executive Joshua Atugonza said the idea is meant to thank supporters for their backing, although the final discounted price has not yet been announced. The club had previously charged Shs 20,000 for ordinary tickets, and earlier remarks from club officials suggested the reduced price could fall to about Shs 10,000.

Atugonza also said Kitara is working to have head coach Wasswa Bbosa cleared to sit on the touchline after he was initially sidelined because of a CAF A coaching-course requirement. He said the club has informed the federation that Bbosa is currently taking the course and is waiting for the process to be completed. He added that the technical staff would still be able to handle the team if the clearance does not come through in time.

The second leg is scheduled for Saturday, and Kitara is urging fans to attend in large numbers. In the first leg, played at Hoima City Stadium, Kitara came from behind to beat Mogadishu City 2-1. That result means the Ugandan side needs at least a draw in the return match to advance to the next round, where, if successful, it would face Al Hilal, one of Africa’s stronger clubs. The ticket move and coaching update come as the club seeks to build momentum before a crucial continental fixture.
