Deadline reported that a new BBC documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, includes allegations from four women accusing the actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman of unlawful sexual conduct. The documentary features 10 women describing encounters with Leto between 2002 and 2016, with nine speaking publicly for the first time, according to Deadline. Leto, 54, denies the allegations, saying through his publicist that he has never sexually assaulted anyone and calling the claims false.

The women in the BBC program include several identified by pseudonyms. One woman alleged an assault in a Las Vegas motel bathroom in 2002, when she was 17 and Leto was in his 30s. Another described an encounter after a 2013 Thirty Seconds to Mars concert in London in which she said Leto made a sexual threat. A third said she had sex with Leto at his California home in 2006 when she was 17, which Deadline noted would fall under statutory rape law in that state. A fourth alleged she received sexual phone calls from Leto at age 16 after meeting him at a Los Angeles modeling agency, and said she was later asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement.

Deadline said Leto did not respond to the BBC’s requests for comment, though he has previously denied sexual impropriety after a 2025 Air Mail report. The article also noted that allegations circulated publicly after Los Angeles DJ Allie Teilz posted about Leto on Instagram, prompting other women to share similar claims.
