Fox also reported that Ohio is expected to be a major focus, noting Springfield’s large Haitian community, and that ICE leadership has been informed of the plans.

TPS allows eligible nationals of designated countries affected by war, disasters or other extraordinary conditions to live and work temporarily in the U.S. Haiti received the designation after the 2010 earthquake. Fox noted that the Supreme Court last month reversed lower-court rulings that had delayed TPS terminations for Haiti and Syria while litigation continued.
