Golf brand apologises for advert that shows woman being pushed over

What the report says
Golf content brand Good Good has apologised and removed a promotional video for a new Callaway driver after it was criticised for depicting a woman being pushed to the ground. According to BBC Sport, the advert showed Good Good co-founder Garrett Clark rushing toward professional golfer and regular Good Good creator Alexis Miestowski, pushing her over, and shouting that she should not touch his new club.
The backlash focused on the suggestion that the clip made light of violence against women. Good Good said on X that the video showed actions that did not fit its values, added that it had taken the content down, and said it remained committed to making golf more inclusive. Callaway, which has worked with Good Good since 2023, said it was disappointed by the video and welcomed the decision to address the issue.
Good Good is a US-based golf media and apparel brand that began as a YouTube channel in 2020 and has grown into one of the sport’s largest online creators, with more than 2 million subscribers. The group also sponsors a PGA Tour event. The controversy comes as golf organizations increasingly work with social media creators to reach younger audiences and broaden the game’s appeal. The PGA Tour said the deleted video did not reflect its values and that it does not condone violence.
