Flights from UK airports among three targeted by bomb threats

What the report says
Police and aviation authorities in Poland and Spain were checking multiple aircraft on Friday after a series of bomb threats affected flights linked to UK airports, according to the BBC material republished by Nile Post. One plane from London Heathrow diverted to Warsaw Modlin airport, where specialists inspected the aircraft after it landed with 181 people on board while it was headed for Warsaw’s main Chopin airport.
A second flight from Copenhagen to Chopin airport was also reported to have received a bomb threat, though it landed normally. In Spain, a Ryanair flight from Manchester to Murcia-Corvera airport was similarly flagged, with 121 people on board including crew. Spanish officials said the aircraft was being examined and emergency protocols were activated, while the local fire brigade was mobilized.
The reported incidents followed a separate bomb threat the previous day involving a Wizz Air flight from London Luton to Budapest, which made an emergency landing and was later cleared after security checks. Warsaw Modlin said operations resumed after the inspection, and Chopin airport said one runway area was closed temporarily but overall operations were not significantly affected. The episodes highlight how aviation security procedures can trigger diversions, inspections and delays even when no explosive device is found.
