The New York Post reports that former Netflix executive Kevin Baillie has sued after being fired from his $1.1 million-a-year role as vice president and head of creative at Eyeline Studios, a Netflix division. According to the lawsuit cited by the Post, Baillie disclosed during a January 2026 “Vulnerability-Trust exercise” at Netflix-owned Sendero Ranch in Northern California that he had previously received medically supervised ketamine treatment.

The filing says Baillie underwent the treatment at a Santa Barbara clinic in October and November 2022 for clinical depression following his mother’s death. Baillie alleges Netflix later investigated the disclosure in a way that suggested concern about recreational drug use. The suit says an investigator raised the matter on March 18, 2026, and that Baillie was terminated in April; it further alleges a Netflix attorney acknowledged the ketamine therapy issue was a factor in the dismissal.

The Post reports that Baillie’s complaint also says the investigation touched on profanity and drinking. He alleges that alcohol was common at company events and was modeled or condoned by Eyeline Studios CEO Jeff Shapiro, citing several workplace-related gatherings and a bar in Shapiro’s office. The suit also describes Baillie doing a headstand while drinking a Guinness at the retreat, which he says followed a colleague’s request during the openness encouraged by the exercise.

Baillie is seeking a jury trial, lost pay, compensatory and emotional-distress damages, punitive damages, and alleges he was denied as much as a year of severance. The claims are allegations in a civil complaint and have not been adjudicated. The Post said Netflix and Eyeline were contacted for comment.
