Bishop LaDonna Osborn arrives in Uganda ahead of Patience Rwabwogo consecration

What the report says
American evangelist Bishop Dr. LaDonna C. Osborn has arrived in Uganda ahead of the consecration of Pastor Patience Rwabwogo as an Episcopal Bishop, according to Nile Post. Osborn landed at Entebbe International Airport before a series of church events tied to the ceremony, which is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, at Covenant Nations Church in Luzira and will also be part of the church’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
The report says Osborn will take a central role in the consecration, including prayer, the laying on of hands and the formal act of consecration. Before that, she is expected to minister at the “Carrying the Torch” Conference on Thursday, August 20, at City of David in Luzira. The conference is set to focus on preserving and passing on the Christian message to the next generation.
Osborn used her arrival to encourage more women to embrace leadership in the church and wider society while remaining rooted in their faith. She described Rwabwogo as a committed Christian leader taking on a greater duty of service. Rwabwogo, founder of Covenant Nations Church, said the elevation is a calling rather than a personal promotion.
The story also notes a longstanding family link to Uganda: Osborn’s parents, evangelists Dr. T.L. Osborn and Dr. Daisy Washburn Osborn, held major crusades in the country, including one in Kampala in 1985. The upcoming ceremony is being framed by organizers as both a leadership transition and a wider commissioning for ministry and evangelism.
