Abhishek Sharma hits ton as India beat New Zealand by 6 wickets in 3rd T20

What the report says
India secured the third Twenty20 international against New Zealand in Wellington on Tuesday, taking a six-wicket win that also gave them the five-match series with two games remaining, according to Al Jazeera. Chasing 199, India reached the target in 13.2 overs after an explosive opening stand between Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
Abhishek led the chase with 113 off 38 balls, while Sooryavanshi added 45 from 19 deliveries. The pair put on 133 runs in 7.1 overs, a partnership Al Jazeera said overwhelmed New Zealand’s attack early and put India in control almost immediately. By the time Abhishek was dismissed, India were already well ahead of the required rate.
New Zealand had earlier posted 198, helped by a strong innings from Daryl Mitchell, who scored 89 off 52 balls. Tim Seifert and Finn Allen opened before Mitchell and later Bevon Jacobs added runs in the middle and lower order. India’s bowlers had first put pressure on the hosts, with seam movement available on the pitch.
The result matters because it sealed the bilateral series for India before the final two matches. It also highlighted the emergence of a high-scoring opening combination, while underlining New Zealand’s difficulty containing aggressive batting in the powerplay.
