Evidence-based verdicts The platform says its verdicts are based on evidence, including trust registry records, live page facts and documented community reports. Verdicts listed on the site include Verified Authentic, Unrated, Caution and Community Reports.

Scam categories and channels 256 LinkShield lists detection areas including scam websites, phishing links, malware pages, fake grants, fake jobs, fake scholarships, fake mobile money promos, fake NGO or charity campaigns, fake government programs, fake investment schemes, brand impersonation, suspicious shortened links, QR code scams, SMS scams and email phishing.

Additional tools and reports The platform includes tools for link scanning, QR code scanning, SMS scam checking, email scam detection and social media link checking.
