ABC News Australia has published an Australian-time guide to the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, outlining the event’s daily program for viewers following from the AEST time zone. The outlet reports that the Games will feature 10 sports across 10 full competition days, with 215 gold medals to be awarded. Organisers have cautioned that the schedule may still change.

The program begins with a “Day 0” on July 23-24, after bowls and para bowls were added ahead of the opening ceremony because of what organisers called exceptional demand. The ceremony is scheduled for 5am AEST on July 24 at The Hydro at the Scottish Event Campus, also the netball venue, with KT Tunstall among the listed performers and more than 600 volunteers involved.

On the first full day, ABC highlights early medal events in para powerlifting, including Australian Hani Watson in the women’s heavyweight category, alongside swimming finals and 3x3 basketball, wheelchair basketball, gymnastics, boxing and bowls.
