Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition worked on by Baten Kaitos remaster dev - Nintendo Everything

What the report says
Nintendo Everything reported on July 24, 2026, that Logicalbeat contributed to Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The site said the information came from Yoshiki Domae, Logicalbeat’s representative director, who posted on social media that the company helped support the game’s 4K and 60 frames-per-second presentation. Nintendo Everything cited RPG Site for a translation of Domae’s post.
Monolith Soft, the studio behind Xenoblade Chronicles and the Definitive Edition, was also involved in the Switch 2 version, according to the report. Nintendo Everything characterized Logicalbeat’s role as assistance in getting the title running at the higher resolution and frame rate, rather than as a replacement for Monolith Soft’s involvement.
Logicalbeat is notable to Nintendo audiences for its work on Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster, which was released for Nintendo Switch. Its involvement adds context to how Nintendo and its partners are handling upgraded versions of major role-playing games for the newer hardware.
Nintendo Everything also noted that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition are planned, but said it is not currently known whether Logicalbeat is involved with those projects. The report follows separate news about additions planned for the Switch 2 edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
