Gematsu reports that Nintendo and Monolith Soft have published a two-minute overview trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, outlining the upgraded version of the role-playing game ahead of its release. According to the report, the edition is scheduled to launch digitally on July 30, with a physical version planned for October 1.

The trailer and Nintendo’s accompanying overview present the game as an enhanced return to the adventure of Rex and Pyra, set in a world where societies live on the backs of enormous Titans drifting through a cloud-covered sea. The story centers on Rex, a scavenger, and Pyra, a powerful Blade, as they search for the paradise she calls home while commanding Blades in combat.

The game is described as running at 4K resolution in TV mode and full HD in handheld mode, both at 60 frames per second, with improved cutscenes.
