Women's Scottish Open: Jenny Shin beats A-Lim Kim to title at Dundonald - BBC

BBC Sport reported that Jenny Shin won the Women’s Scottish Open at Dundonald on 26 July 2026, holding off fellow South Korean A-Lim Kim despite a difficult final round. Shin closed with a three-over-par 75, including three bogeys on the front nine, but her nine-under total was enough for a two-shot victory over Kim, who finished strongly with a 68.

Thailand’s Pajaree Anannarukarn placed third at five under, two shots behind Kim. Esther Henseleit of Germany was fourth at four under, while Lauren Coughlin of the United States and Japan’s Miyu Yamashita shared fifth at three under. BBC’s listed leaderboard also showed Ireland’s Leona Maguire at one under, world star Nelly Korda at two over, and England’s Charley Hull at 10 over.

The title was a significant career moment for Shin: according to the BBC, it was her first tournament win in more than a decade and only her second LPGA Tour victory in 368 starts. Her previous win came at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout in 2016. The report said Shin became emotional after holing out on the 18th and was then sprayed with water and champagne by friends.

The event also served as a lead-in to the final women’s major of the year, the Women’s Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes in Lancashire, which begins the following Thursday. BBC noted that only 10 players finished under par at Dundonald, where changing weather and wind tested the field.
