CBS Sports reported that Dallas Wings rookie Azzi Fudd won the 2026 WNBA All-Star 3-point shooting contest Friday night, becoming the first rookie to take the event’s title. Fudd, the No. 1 overall draft pick and a former UConn standout, scored 24 points in the opening round and then delivered a 30-point final round to beat Portland Fire forward Bridget Carleton, who finished with 19 points after a slow start.

The contest result added a historical note to WNBA All-Star weekend: CBS Sports said Fudd was only the fourth rookie to enter the competition since it began in 2006, and Rhyne Howard had previously been the only rookie to make the final. Fudd made 20 of 26 shots in the final, including a perfect opening rack, while players such as Marina Mabrey, Natisha Hiedeman and Howard were eliminated earlier.

After the win, Fudd renewed a public challenge to Stephen Curry, asking for a rematch from a shooting contest they held when she was a teenager at Curry’s camp. CBS Sports noted Curry won that earlier matchup, 20-16, though Fudd later beat Stephen and Seth Curry in a smaller shooting contest at a Curry Camp event in China.

CBS Sports also reported that Team Washington won the first WNBA All-Star Shooting Stars competition. The team featured retired star Elena Delle Donne, current Washington Mystics center Shakira Austin and high school prospect Jezelle “GG” Banks, who made the decisive shots to defeat Team Seattle in the final.
