Wildfire now nine miles away from French city of Bordeaux, mayor warns

He said most fires are human-caused, often through carelessness, while some are suspected to have been deliberately set; 162 arrests have occurred since 6 July. President Emmanuel Macron is visiting affected areas in Gironde to support emergency responders.
