What the report says

Zuena Kirema has explained why her brief stint in music did not turn into a lasting career. In comments made during a live TikTok broadcast, the Ugandan businesswoman said she recorded songs mainly out of curiosity and a desire to try something different, rather than because she planned to become a full-time singer. Sqoop Uganda reported that she is married to singer Bebe Cool and that his career may have helped inspire her interest in the industry.

According to the publisher, Zuena released a small number of tracks, including "Mata," "Owa Boda" featuring Eighton, and "Rain," which drew attention and praise for her voice. Even so, she said she never wanted the demands that come with life as a recording and performing artist. She also pushed back against fans who have urged her to stage a concert or return to music, making clear that she does not intend to do so.

Zuena said one of the main reasons she stepped away was the pressure of public performance and constant scrutiny. She described the music lifestyle as requiring energy she did not want to spend on stage shows, criticism and public disputes. In broader terms, her remarks suggest the songs were more of a short experiment than an abandoned career path. The comments add context to a public figure who has been better known outside music and now appears content to remain away from the industry.
