Washington Commanders 92-man 2026 pre-training camp roster/depth chart - Hogs Haven

What the report says
Hogs Haven reported that the Washington Commanders appear to have a roster-count issue as they approach 2026 training camp. The site’s Bill Horgan wrote on July 24 that Washington is effectively carrying 92 players after the reported addition of veteran cornerback Rasul Douglas, while the team’s training camp limit is 91 because of its International Player Pathway exemption. Rookies were scheduled to report July 24, with veterans due the following Tuesday.
The article explains that NFL offseason rosters are generally capped at 90 players, with an extra spot available for an IPP player. Washington is using that exemption for edge rusher TJ Maguranyanga, who was also with the Commanders in 2025. Hogs Haven noted that the Commanders’ website still listed 91 players without Douglas, while Our Lads included him and showed 92. The NFL transactions list reflected the Douglas signing on July 6, but Hogs Haven said it had not found a matching move to clear space.
According to the report, the Commanders likely need to announce another transaction soon to comply with the 91-player limit. That could be a release, or a move to a list such as physically unable to perform or another reserve designation that would remove a player from the active offseason count. Horgan said he expected clarity by the time veterans report.
The piece also framed the depth chart as a roster-tracking tool rather than a prediction of game-day roles. It highlighted uncertainty in the secondary, including how Douglas, Trey Amos, Mike Sainristil, Amik Robertson and Quan Martin may be deployed, and discussed rookie receiver Antonio Williams as a possible outside option opposite Terry McLaurin.
