Walmart recalls over 16,000 dressers that violate federal safety law due to potentially deadly hazard - Fox Business

Fox Business reported that federal safety regulators announced a recall of more than 16,800 EnHomee 9-Drawer Fabric Dressers sold through Walmart.com, citing a tip-over danger that could seriously injure or kill children. The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the dressers do not comply with mandatory federal stability rules for clothing storage units and can become unstable when not secured to a wall.

The recall covers about 16,809 units sold by the third-party seller Raybee-Direct on Walmart.com from September 2023 through March 2026 for about $80, according to the report. The products came in white, brown, gray and black, with nine fabric drawers and a metal frame. Fox Business said only dressers ordered before March 30, 2026, are included.

The CPSC said it had not received reports of injuries or incidents linked to the recalled dressers. Consumers were advised to stop using any unanchored unit immediately and place it somewhere children cannot reach. To seek a full refund, buyers must contact Raybee-Direct for instructions, confirm whether their dresser is part of the recall and submit a photo showing the product has been disposed of. The dressers were manufactured in China by Xuzhou Mingquanhe Household Co., Ltd. and imported by Changsha Yiman Keji Youxian Gongsi, which does business as Raybee-Direct. The safety issue matters because the STURDY Act was designed to reduce child injuries and deaths from furniture tip-overs by requiring stronger stability standards for clothing storage furniture.
