Vuskovic a target for Bayern - Sunday's gossip

What the report says

BBC Sport’s latest football gossip round-up says Bayern Munich are among several clubs tracking Brighton centre-back Luka Vuskovic. The report also says Chelsea and Barcelona are monitoring the 19-year-old Croatia international, adding to the list of teams linked with him.

The same roundup claims Bayern have held fresh talks over Manchester United teenager JJ Gabriel, although no offer has been made and there is a sense that he may be leaning toward Spain, where Barcelona and Real Madrid are said to be favourites. Another young player attracting attention is Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, who is reportedly wanted by AC Milan despite a rising valuation.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are linked with Barcelona defender Jules Kounde, with the Spanish club said to be open to offers around £60m. The piece also notes that Porto have raised the release clause for forward William Gomes amid reported Liverpool interest, while Chelsea are still being connected with Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara after missing out on him in the summer.

As with all gossip columns, these are transfer links rather than confirmed deals. The stories matter because they point to possible movement among major Premier League and European clubs, especially in the market for young defenders and midfielders.
