V&A Sherry Celebrates Western Region’s Finest Young Women at Miss Uganda Regionals

What the report says
The Western Region leg of the Miss Uganda 2026 regional tour was held over the weekend at Motiv in Bugolobi, drawing contestants, supporters, influencers and entertainment acts for an evening built around the pageant’s next stage. According to Nile Post, the event mixed competition with music and audience participation as young women from the region presented their confidence, talent and ambition ahead of the national contest.
Murungi Angel Liz emerged as Miss Uganda West 2026, securing a place in the national Miss Uganda competition. Arinda Maria Joyce was named first runner-up, while Owomugisha Shivan finished second runner-up. The programme also included performances by the music duo Kateleya and Kandle, along with other emerging artistes.
Nile Post reported that V&A Sherry was among the sponsors supporting the regional finale. Brand manager Roy Ronald Tumwizere said the brand wanted to back occasions that empower women and celebrate their achievements. The event followed a Friday evening gathering described as a “Party with the Queens,” which gave contestants time to socialise before the main competition.
The Western Region finale is part of the broader Miss Uganda regional tour, with the Central Region event left to complete the series. Beyond the pageantry, the contest offered a public platform for young women to represent their communities and build visibility ahead of the national phase.
