US imposes sanctions on Palestine Action and other left-wing groups

The United States has imposed financial sanctions on the British activist group Palestine Action, the international pro-Palestine movement Masar Badil, and Italy-based digital services provider Autistici Inventati, according to Al Jazeera. The Treasury said the measures were aimed at what the Trump administration described as “far-left terrorist groups,” freezing any assets they may hold in the US and broadly barring Americans from financial dealings with them.

Al Jazeera reported that the action is part of a wider campaign by President Donald Trump’s administration against critics of Israel and supporters of Palestinian rights.
