US attacks Iran for 10th consecutive night

What the report says
Al Jazeera reported that the United States launched a 10th straight night of strikes on Iran, with Iranian media saying explosions were heard in Sirik, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Shiraz and Isfahan. US Central Command said the operation, announced Monday evening, was aimed at reducing Iranian military assets allegedly used against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, and said targets included command sites, maritime systems, missile and drone launch facilities, and air defences.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it responded with attacks on US-related military sites in Kuwait, including HIMARS systems, radar, satellite and communications facilities and an MQ-9 drone hangar. The IRGC also claimed damage to radar and US air defence systems in Bahrain. These claims were reported by Al Jazeera and were not independently verified in the supplied text.
The escalation comes amid rising danger for shipping near the Strait of Hormuz and nearby waters. Al Jazeera reported that two Greek-owned tankers were hit in the strait on Monday, while the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said another tanker was struck off Limah, Oman, prompting the crew to abandon ship. The IRGC later claimed two additional tankers suffered explosions and large fires after attempting to use what it called an unsafe route.
US President Donald Trump warned that attacks on American personnel would be repaid “many times over” after Al Jazeera reported US casualties in Jordan and northern Iraq. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called for ending the conflict and said Democrats would push another vote on halting operations. The White House told Al Jazeera strikes would continue unless Trump decides otherwise, while also saying US-Iran diplomatic talks remain under way.
