It also reported damage to apartment blocks and the partial destruction of a house. Belgorod Oblast borders Ukraine, and Belgorod city lies about 27 kilometers from northeastern Ukraine.

The report said explosions were later heard in Rostov-on-Don, according to the Telegram channel Exilenova Plus. Rostov Mayor Alexander Skryabin described the incident as a Ukrainian strike and said a residential building was damaged. Rostov Oblast Governor Yuri Slyusar said two people, identified as a married couple, were killed and five others were injured, including two seriously. He also reported fires at warehouses and homes, along with broken windows at residential and social facilities.

The Kyiv Independent also cited the Russian outlet Astra as reporting smoke above Rostov-on-Don’s shipping port near the damaged residential area. Separate explosion reports emerged from Taganrog, a coastal city on the Azov Sea, via the Telegram channel Supernova Plus. The publisher noted that it could not immediately verify the reports.
