Uganda is set to host the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) Africa in February 2027, with the event planned for February 2–3 at the Speke Resort Convention Centre in Kampala. According to The Independent Uganda, the summit will gather international investors, hotel developers and tourism industry leaders to discuss opportunities in Uganda’s hospitality and tourism sectors.

The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), working with Kampala Serena Hotel, marked the announcement with a launch reception on September 23. The event brought together hospitality investors, hotel operators, government officials and private-sector stakeholders. UTB said the summit would help promote Uganda as an investment destination and create space for partnerships between local and international players.

The report says the summit is expected to highlight investment opportunities beyond hotels and accommodation, including aviation, tour operations, food and beverage, destination management, financial services and other local enterprises. Speakers also pointed to Uganda’s natural attractions, location on the equator and growing air connectivity as factors that could support further development.

FHS Africa’s strategic partnerships lead, Roy Bannister, described the summit as a bridge between capital and investment opportunities, while UTB chief executive Juliana Kagwa said it would connect investors, developers and hospitality professionals. The event comes as Uganda seeks to strengthen meetings and events tourism and attract more private investment into its wider tourism value chain.
