Uganda’s Best 100 Law Firms Recognised by Public Opinions with Responsible Investment Global Award

What the report says
Public Opinions has named Uganda’s Best 100 Law Firms for 2026 and presented them with its Responsible Investment Global Award, according to Watchdog Uganda. The recognition, announced in Kampala on 5 October 2026, was framed as an effort to highlight firms that combine legal service with responsible business practices, client care, human rights, corporate social responsibility and adherence to international standards.
The organisation said it used a survey and benchmark-based assessment, then moved from 200 nominated firms to a final list of 100, with public voting also contributing. Public Opinions said the selection focused less on firm size and more on factors such as professional competence, ethics, leadership, tax compliance, timely service, worker treatment and support for pro bono work. It also said the programme is intended to encourage stronger standards across Uganda’s legal sector.
The recognised firms include a wide mix of corporate, litigation, property, tax, finance, regulatory and advisory practices such as K&K Advocates, AB & David, AF Mpanga Advocates, MMAKS Advocates, Dentons Advocates and ENS Uganda. Public Opinions said profiles of the firms will appear in its journal and on its global portal, which it says reaches senior officials, diplomats and business leaders. In broader context, the recognition reflects a growing trend in professional awards that emphasize governance, social impact and compliance alongside technical legal performance.
