Uganda: Museveni's Daughter Patience Rwabwogo Consecrated As Bishop

Pastor Patience Kokundeka Museveni Rwabwogo, daughter of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, has been consecrated as an Episcopal bishop of Covenant Nations Church, according to a report by Nile Post carried by AllAfrica. The ceremony took place at Covenant Hill in Maya during celebrations marking 20 years since she founded the ministry as a small house fellowship. The report says this made her the first woman to be ordained as a bishop in Uganda.

The consecration was led by Bishop Dr. LaDonna Osborn, with Archbishop Moses Odongo and Bishop Joshua Lwere serving as co-consecrators. Among those present were senior Christian leaders, government officials, family members and worshippers. The article also said Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife, Folu Adeboye, attended and took part in prayers and anointing.

Church elders, represented by Mrs. Allen Kagina, said Rwabwogo’s ministry had grown through two decades of service focused on teaching, leadership development, youth mentorship, entrepreneurship and evangelism. They described the move as a call to greater responsibility rather than a personal promotion.
