Police in Kampala are investigating a suspected murder, attempted murder and arson case after an early-morning attack in Kalungu Bunga, Ggaba Parish, Makindye Division left two children dead and three others injured. According to Watchdog Uganda, the incident happened around 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, and was reported through Kabalagala Police Division after a housemaid heard an alarm and children calling for help.

The article says officers found several children with stab wounds in the main house. Fourteen-year-old Khadija Daizy was discovered dead in her bedroom, while seven-year-old Hawa Dalena later died in hospital. Three other children, aged 13, eight and five, survived and were taken for treatment.
