Nile Post reported that the Tusker Lite Neon Raves attracted hundreds of partygoers in Fort Portal over the weekend, as the beer brand took its youth-oriented entertainment series to the Tooro region. The edition centred on nightlife, music and neon-themed social experiences, drawing revellers to several venues in the city.

According to the report, activities were hosted at Le Rêve Bar, Beer Nyama at Tooro Botanical Gardens and Diplomat’s Lounge. This stop introduced DJ battles in place of the dance contests that had featured in earlier editions, while maintaining the event’s broader focus on entertainment and youth culture. DJs Mercy Pro, Trizzy Vybz, Selecta Jeff and Edu Mystique performed sets spanning Afrobeats, amapiano, dancehall, Ugandan music and other popular sounds.

Nile Post said organisers presented the format change as part of an effort to highlight different forms of creative expression. Tusker Lite Brand Manager Sandra Againe said the platform had previously travelled across Uganda showcasing dance talent and was now exploring DJs as another key part of nightlife culture. She described the initiative as a space for young people to express creativity and connect through shared experiences.

The Fort Portal edition matters mainly as part of a wider brand-led push into Uganda’s entertainment scene, where music events are often used to engage young audiences and spotlight emerging performers.
