Tracy Melon reveals 13kg weight loss after health battle

What the report says
Ugandan media personality and singer Tracy Melon has spoken publicly about a health scare that she said left her fearing for her life and caused significant weight loss. In remarks reported by Sqoop Uganda from an interview on Galaxy FM, she said she spent much of the year dealing with health complications and repeated hospital visits.
Melon said the experience was emotionally difficult and that discussing it still brings her to tears. She also used the interview to urge greater empathy, arguing that people often do not know what others are facing behind their online posts or public appearances.
The singer said she had lost about 13 kilogrammes during the illness and that the change was not intentional. According to the report, she explained that the weight loss happened because she was constantly in and out of hospital. Melon said she is now recovering and grateful for her progress.
The article also notes that her music career has recently drawn questions because of limited visible progress, though the focus of her comments was on her health and recovery. More broadly, the episode highlights how public figures may be coping with private medical challenges even while remaining visible on social media and in entertainment circles.
