Tottenham agree loan for Man City's Marmoush

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a loan move for Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, with the deal including an obligation to buy the Egypt international for £60m next summer, according to BBC Sport Football. The 27-year-old is expected to follow Savio in moving from City to Spurs, after the north London club signed the Brazilian on Tuesday for an initial £75m.

BBC Sport reports that Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59m in January and made 62 appearances in all competitions, scoring 16 goals. His chances at City were limited by competition for places, particularly with Erling Haaland established as the main striker. He was used sparingly at the start of the new campaign, appearing as a substitute in the Community Shield loss to Arsenal and not featuring in the Premier League win over Bournemouth.

The move comes during a major Tottenham spending spree this summer, with the club having already invested more than £312m in transfers. BBC Sport says Spurs have added several players across the squad as they reshape the team ahead of the new season.

Marmoush is generally viewed as a versatile attacking player who can operate through the middle or in wider forward roles. That flexibility may appeal to Spurs as they look to strengthen their attack and manage ongoing fitness and contract issues among their existing forwards.
