Manchester United has not revoked any season tickets yet, according to the BBC, and an appeals panel is due to review cases before the club’s Premier League season starts on 22 August. In a message to the club’s fans’ forum, United said its operation targeted accounts showing patterns suggesting central control, coordination by one person or automated software, and said it believed most flagged accounts had been identified correctly.

The dispute matters because it sits within a wider Premier League struggle over digital ticketing, anti-touting enforcement and fan trust. Manchester United Supporters’ Trust said the scale of suspensions had caused serious concern, while a joint statement from fan groups accepted the need to tackle touting but called for a more transparent and proportionate approach.
