The outlet says the patch continues The Sims team’s stated focus on cleaning up the game after problems raised in prior updates and Q&As, with the most notable addition being an expanded autosave system for Windows and Mac players.

According to the report, the update introduces a new Save Settings section in the game’s options menu. Players can turn autosave and save reminders on or off, adjust reminder timing by in-game or real-world intervals, and set autosaves to trigger in certain situations, such as after leaving Build Mode. A “Save Reminder Gnome” now appears on the Home Screen as part of that reminder feature.

The patch also adds eight new Create-a-Sim starter Sims, described as premade characters that can appear when starting or resetting a household in CAS. Simscommunity.info says these Sims showcase eight free base-game accessories influenced by Caribbean, Indigenous, Latin American and South Asian cultures, including earrings, a necklace, bracelets and watches. The update also includes a toggle for Nordhaven Hobby Meet Up notifications, similar to earlier controls for other recurring DLC notifications.

On bug fixes, the article highlights the resolution of a roof visibility problem introduced in the June patch, along with fixes tied to save corruption reports involving many Residential Rentals, caching-related crashes, and a crash after interacting with a household member.
