The High Court in Kampala has sentenced Bbosa Tabula Lugya and his son, Noah Bbosa Lugya, to death after they pleaded guilty to murdering former Ndiga Clan leader Engineer Daniel Lwomwa Bbosa. According to Nile Post, the convictions were entered before Justice David Matovu on Thursday, ending the case against the two men who were identified as the main suspects.

The killing took place on February 24, 2024, at Kikandwa Village in Lungujja, Kampala. The murder drew major attention in the Buganda Kingdom and triggered investigations by security agencies into how the clan leader died. Engineer Bbosa was known in the kingdom by the traditional title Lwomwa and was also described as a businessman in the electronics sector.

During mitigation, Lugya asked the court and the family for forgiveness, while Gladys Bbosa, the widow of the deceased, urged the court to impose the maximum penalty. Justice Matovu then handed down the death sentences. Nile Post also reported that three other suspects who denied the charges remain on remand and are expected back in court in September 2026.
