9to5Google reports that a large set of apparent Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 marketing images surfaced on July 20, two days before Samsung’s scheduled July 22 event. The outlet says Samsung is expected to use the event to introduce several new devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Watch 9.

According to 9to5Google, the images were released by known leaker Evan Blass and follow earlier leaked promotional material for Samsung’s next foldable phones. The new watch images reportedly highlight the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2’s case, bands and a redesigned action button, with visual changes that appear aimed at giving the smartwatch a more rugged look. The article also notes a forest green color option shown in the material.

The report says previous leaks point to notable internal and durability-related upgrades, including an 800mAh battery, up from 590mAh, and a Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. 9to5Google cautions that actual battery life remains unknown, especially with a new processor. The leaked materials also list 5,000-nit display brightness and IP69K dust and water resistance, features positioned as selling points for a watch aimed at more demanding use.
