The I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series returns with ‘Tee For Me’ format

The Independent Uganda reports that the third round of the 2026 I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series will take place on Saturday at Entebbe Club, with organisers expecting a full field. The event is one of the more prominent fixtures on Uganda’s local golf calendar, and this round will use the “Tee For Me” format, a pairs competition limited to same-gender teams.

Under that format, both players in a team tee off on each hole, then swap balls for the second shot and continue with that ball until the hole is completed. Organisers say the setup is intended to test teamwork, communication and strategy, and Katogo Captain Elly Kibuka Mukasa said it is returning after positive feedback from earlier editions.

The report says there will also be a hole-in-one challenge sponsored by Victoria Motors, with a brand-new Mitsubishi Outlander as the prize. Off the course, the 19th-hole entertainment will be hosted by comedian Patrick Idringi Salvador and will follow a white-themed dress code. I&M Bank’s Annette Nakiyaga said the bank wants the series to offer a broader experience beyond competition, combining golf with social and entertainment elements.

The publication also notes that previous rounds have featured other themed experiences, including a football-themed edition tied to the UEFA Champions League final. The series is supported by several partners, including Johnnie Walker, Victoria Motors, GA Insurance, RwandAir and others, reflecting the commercial backing behind golf events that blend sport, hospitality and branding.
